Section28 specialise in hard and semi-hard, alpine style cheeses. Explore each of our award winning range below.

Monforte is our flagship cheese, handcrafted in very limited quantities from the best cow’s milk produced by the dairy. It is a raw milk, semi-hard cheese with a complex, but not overpowering flavour.

MONFORTE

Named after a location close to the family farm, our Mont Priscilla is a semi-soft cheese distinguishable by the line of ash running through its centre. The orange-brown rind has been washed to produce a full aroma and a silky, subtle taste.

MONT PRISCILLA

La Saracca is made in the classic style of the alpine cheeses of Northern Italy and is based on the Fontina Vecchio. The cheese is made from raw milk and then washed weekly for a minimum of six months in our cave.

LA SARACCA

Our Raclette is made using traditional European methods making it perfect for use as a grilling and melting cheese. It has an aromatic, thin orange-brown rind and a smooth, supple straw-yellow paste.

RACLETTE

Our Monte Rosso is inspired by the legendary Italian Taleggio and handcrafted in the Adelaide Hills. It is a semi-soft cheese with a sweet, buttery paste that has hints of fruit and a lingering lactic finish.

MONTE ROSSO

Our Monforte Reserve is a raw milk, semi-hard that is very best expression of Section28’s approach to cheesemaking. Every batch of Monforte is tasted and the most outstanding put aside to become the Monforte Reserve.
